Human Resources 101

What Makes a Company a Great Place to Work?

June 26th, 2006 · No Comments

Great Place to Work® Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) give small and medium-sized companies the opportunity to compete for the honor of being named one of the “Best Small & Medium Companies to Work for in America”. The selections are based on

the idea that a great workplace is measured by the quality of the three, interconnected relationships that exist there:

  • The relationship between employees and management.
  • The relationship between employees and their jobs/company.
  • The relationship between employees and other employees.

Great workplaces have high levels of trust
